 Incorporating social media into my future career 
plans.

In future, communication and Advertising  will be done via social media. Social media will be their ultimate goal to sell their products and advertise. Via online, people buy certain products and get it delivered to their home with free of charge. The future will be designed as such.

Unlike in the past, today the new way of getting connected to people is via social media. Therefore I think we should take the advantage of the free cost of charge media in order to achieve our goals. Through social media I will be keeping touch with consumers and other business partners which may be through Facebook (creating a page), Twitter, Blogger, by creating a you tube video and specially I will create an online resume.By doing as such I believe any participant(s) who are interested on my experiences would contact me and I can contact them as well. In my opinion I believe that since social media helps people to get connect at once, my career plan will be successful in the future.

My career plan is to do Digital Marketing using social media. As in future marketing and advertising will be done mostly via social media and there will be  a higher demand,  I chose this path as my career plan. 

In future there will be crowd sourcing, which  will be the main goal, as it is fast and accurate. A lot of companies restructures their organizations into relevant content, fresh ideas, doing complex researches and many more. Since it is done through phone ,doing a 50/50 which allows 3 multiple choice questions which gives a better chance to guess. By this method 91% of the audience had come up with the correct answer ,which shows that crowd sourcing  is a very important method and a quicker way to get people connected.

By being open to the crowd/ the online crowd I believe that this factor  will allow me to market myself to companies and consumers in different ways. In this way I believe that I will be able to achieve my goal in future with the help of social media.

          Blog # 2:  

          Social Media has become very much popular when Many people in the world use social media as a              "tool" to get  latest news from all over the world and the current news information about their 
          country.This has become an easier way for people to get to know news from a click of a button. 

In my opinion , social media has taken over Traditional media because, majority of the world's population use social media when compared to the past. In the past it was the radio and then the television which became man's everyday news receiver and now its the social media. People upload the latest information straight to social media and the whole world gets to know about at the same time. Where as when the radio and the television has begun to spread the news, its too late. The old media tend to be afraid so they publish news in the arm's length , hoping they will disappear slowly among people. 

 Another reason why traditional media is slow in quality of news and information is that, traditional media advertising i.e papers, is based on a wide net hoping to get more customers.It costs a lot of money and space to post an advertisement on a paper . In most cases, people do not read the advertisements on papers. Therefore you lose a lot of money and the time. 

 Social media  has its own method of spreading news and information. There will be pictures and videos posted by people so that people get to know exactly of what has happened. There will not be anything hidden from anyone and  I agree that social media has increased the quality of news and information.

 It has been argued that social media has become far more than a convenient way to stay in   touch with friends and family. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

"Social media" as the name implies, connects people all over the world and yes, it has become far more than a convenient way to stay in touch with friends and family. Social media i.e Facebook  has taken the lead in the world as the most common media to get connected with people whom you  may know. Young people tend to use Facebook more than the over aged people in the world. There is no one in the world ( generally speaking) who doesn't have a Facebook account. It is that popular in today's world. 

People have Facebook for many reasons and one of it is to keep in touch with family and friends. For example, it has been a great advantage for me because since I came to Canada I have the opportunity  to keep in touch with my relations and friends back in Sri Lanka.

Facebook is the most popular social media where most people in the world use today. When it comes to business , academics and other private companies have there own Facebook page, which helps them to get many people's attention and interests. They use this as a marketing tool to advertise their product and services. This is because Facebook is so popular with many people, ( in this case since I have specified business and academics)  it is easier to have such pages and groups in Facebook and to get connected with all at the same time. Most celebrities use twitter to keep in touch with their fan base. This is also a popular mode of conveying messages.

Facebook, twitter and Skype, are the mediums used when it comes to news and events postings. It is much faster  and easier to let someone know about a certain incident  quickly by updating a "status". This update helps anyone to get up-to date information fast. The recent uprising in Egypt was totally carried out through social media updates and it spread like wild fire across the world. This is a good example where social media was used other than to stay in touch with family and friends. Nowadays, most news reporters use, Facebook, Skype to relay latest information. This too is a relatively a new trend. It is fast yet cost effective and provides a medium to convey both verbal and visual information.  

If there wasn't social media its obvious that our friends, family and people in general won't know about us so fast and we won't be able to get current news updates instantly. We have to keep them updated through emails or by talking. which I think will be difficult. Some times we might be busy and we miss informing about us. 

Therefore, I agree with the statement that social media has become far more than a convenient way to stay in touch friends and family. It has a wide variety of uses including up-to-date news casts and information about events and people and has become one of the most sought after media to relay current information
